Just a quick concept sketch of a comic that came to me tonight. This is actually something I've been kicking around for a few months now, but have yet to nail down character concepts, despite the occasional joke that comes to mind. So until I finish it, this is what you get. Hehe, the stick figures are kinda cute, I think.
I just wanted to upload it while it was still Halloween and thus somewhat in the holiday spirit.
Now that you've started drawing the regular comic, I'd love to see this gag incorporated into it. It'd be a shame to have to wait until Halloween 2007, though... any way it could be tweaked to fit out of season?
Well I'm thinking of redoing all my old strips (this is not the only one, simply the first one I thought was funny enough) before doing any new ones. Then again, last night I roughed out my next one, so, who knows. But I'd like to get this one and three of my other stick-figure comics brought up to speed soon.
The retainer thing mainly goes back to my childhood. I don't know how it is now, but back when, people had to remove their retainers to eat. Often times, it would be wrapped in a napkin to keep it from getting broken. But then, the napkin would be thrown in the trash, forcing the person to go diving for it. Better than paying for a replacement.
