part of a series of drawings representing antique technology - perhaps the most "modern" of all the series, this is a 1950's era television. The reason I chose a set design from the 50's and not one from the 30's is because back in the 30's the only televisions were mechanical and looked nothing even remotely like the sets we have now. It just simply wouldn't have been so easily recognizable and thus the impact would have been lost. The television concept was later cut from the project entirely and replaced with the film camera instead. Other candidates were the Victrola gramaphone and something else that escapes my memory at this time and is probably not interesting enough to keep anyone's attention by now.
